The "Code 5007" Bait-and-Switch

How Lunar Astro Scales Profit Through Proxy Astrologers

What is the Code 5007 Scam?

Deepanshu Giri has built a massive YouTube following. Consumers watch his videos and pay exorbitant fees (often exceeding ₹10,000) believing they are paying for his specific expertise. However, Lunar Astro operates a "proxy" business model.

Once the non-refundable payment is captured, the victim is handed off to an anonymous junior student, often referred to only by a number, such as Astrologer Code 5007.

Victim Testimony (Recovered from Quora before PR deletion):

"I just took a consultation from lunar Astro from astrologer code 5007- the worst ever consultation I ever had. I was intrigued by lunar Astro due to Deepanshu Giri... Took a financial and career consultation with #5007. It was done with little to no interest from his side, the questions I asked got a very vague answer... The amount that was charged for a 30 min consultation is enormous in contrast with the service I got."

The Legal Reality

Lunar Astro's PR page claims this is just an "expectation gap." In reality, consumer protection laws classify this as deceptive marketing. If a business uses a specific expert's face and reputation as the primary marketing vehicle, but delivers the service via unqualified proxies, it is a bait-and-switch.
